Sum Snake — Target Hunt

How to Play

• You control an ASCII snake (@ooo) on a walled grid.
• The board contains digit pickups (1–9) — steer into them to eat.
• Every digit you eat adds to your Current sum.
• A Target number is shown at the top — hit it exactly to score.

Scoring

• Hit the target exactly — earn bonus points, gain time, and your streak increases.
• Overshoot the target (bust) — lose a life, lose 3 seconds, streak resets, snake shrinks.
• Crash into a wall or yourself — lose a life.
• Streak bonuses grow the longer you chain consecutive targets.
• Speed ramps up as your level increases — stay sharp!

Game Over

• The game ends when your time runs out or you lose all lives.
• Your best score is saved automatically.

Controls

• Arrow keys or WASD — move the snake
• Space — pause / resume
• Enter — start a new game
• R — restart during play
• On mobile, use the on-screen D-pad below the game.

Difficulty

• Easy — smaller grid, slower speed, lower targets, 4 lives.
• Medium — bigger grid, faster speed, higher targets, 3 lives.
• Hard — largest grid, fastest speed, highest targets, 3 lives.
